We’re Hiring! Program Manager, Career & Technology Training

We are hiring a 32-hour per week Program Manager for a new position on our Program team, with primary focus within our existing career and technology training program — doing outreach; managing existing and developing new relationships with career and technology training students, training providers, community partners, and employers; and grant writing. The Program Manager will work closely with career and technology training students, from the time of application through training to work; will serve as advisor to career and technology training students; and will connect students with external resources as needed.  The Program Manager will look for strong training partners, and will connect with employers in fields that our career and technology training students pursue.  The Program Manager will serve as one of the public faces of Central Scholarship, and will work with our team to perform other duties as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities


  • Build new and maintain existing relationships with community partners and/or school personnel to raise program visibility and to connect students with CS opportunities.
  • Establish and maintain contact list of career training schools and programs, and   community organizations.
  • Maintain an outreach e-mail schedule, informing general and targeted audiences about CS application process and scholarship opportunities. Track responses.
  • Be the lead in developing and presenting new seminars to provide essential information regarding career and technology training options, finding money for training, and tools for navigating the process.
  • Participate in media interviews as needed.



  • Assist applicants with the application process including submission of documentation, as they apply via our scholarship management software.
  • Review career and technology training scholarship applications for completion and eligibility, and encourage eligible applicants to complete their application. Manage interview schedules, conduct interviews, and follow up with applicants and recipients.
  • Notify career and technology training recipients of awards, provide authorization letters as needed, and communicate additional requirements to students.
  • Assist with statistical reports on career and technology training applicant/recipient demographics.


Disbursement Management and Tracking

  • With Program team, ensure that available scholarship funds and the corresponding budget are in the application database.
  • Collaborate with Program team for timely entry of student demographics and disbursements in database.

Hours, Salary, and Benefits

This is a 32-hour per week position with market rate salary, generous paid leave, and full benefits package including fully paid individual employee health insurance, 401K with employer contributions, life insurance, and long-term disability. Optional dental and vision coverage available.  Must be available for occasional overtime, evening, and weekend hours. Must be able to travel as needed.
